Child Safety Standards
These standards apply to Wusbee: Language Exchange Chat (package com.sevban.wusbee), published by Sevban Kocabaş. They describe how we prevent, detect and respond to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in the app. They are part of our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Wusbee strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This includes, without limitation:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any image, video, audio, text or other content that depicts or describes the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of a minor, whether real, computer-generated or drawn.
- Sexualizing minors: content that presents a child in a sexual manner, or that sexualizes a person who is or appears to be under 18.
- Grooming: building a relationship with a minor, in the app or elsewhere, to enable sexual contact, sexual conversation or the exchange of sexual content.
- Sextortion: threatening or blackmailing a minor using real or fabricated sexual content.
- Trafficking: advertising or soliciting a child for sexual exploitation, or facilitating such activity.
- Requesting, offering, sharing, linking to or seeking access to any of the above.
Any attempt to use Wusbee for these purposes results in immediate and permanent removal from the service and, where the law requires or allows, a report to the relevant authorities.
Wusbee is for adults only
You must be at least 18 years old to use Wusbee. We ask for a date of birth at sign-up and do not create accounts for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.
How we prevent and detect abuse
- Messages, profile bios and notes are automatically filtered for sexual, abusive and exploitative content before and after they are posted.
- Users can block anyone at any time. Blocked users cannot contact or see each other.
- Accounts reported by several different people are automatically hidden from Discover and blocked from sending messages and waves until a person has reviewed the reports.
- Our moderators review every report, remove violating content, and suspend or permanently delete the accounts responsible.
Reporting a child safety concern
Every user can report a child safety concern from inside the app: open the person's profile or the chat and tap Report, then choose the reason. Reports are confidential and are reviewed by a human within 24 hours. You can also contact us directly at sevbaninfo@gmail.com. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first.
What happens when we receive a report
- We review the reported content and account as a priority.
- Content that violates these standards is removed, and the account responsible is permanently banned.
- Confirmed or suspected CSAM is preserved as evidence and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to regional or national law enforcement as required by applicable law.
- We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement agencies investigating child exploitation.
Compliance with child safety laws
Wusbee complies with all applicable child safety laws, including laws on the reporting of child sexual abuse material, and with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy. We review these standards regularly and update them as laws and best practices change.
